The trend of using e-learning is now rapidly expanding to support teaching in higher education. However, there is little research on instructors beliefs and their practice on their online instruction practices. The purposes of this research are to explore role perceptions of e-instructors in higher education. To achieve the purposes, this research adopted a questionnaire survey. 106 instructors from 25 universities in Taiwan participated in this study. After statistical analysis, the results show as follow: 1.Content expertise is the key exponent as well as the practice role of e-instructor in higher education from university facultys perceptions. 2.
